We were honoured to be commissioned to create some simple Christmas card designs that readers of BBC Countryfile Magazine could make for themselves. So Christmas really did start early for us – sketching out ideas with robins, holly, mistletoe and reindeers in the snow way back in August always feels strange. But we really enjoyed getting the ink out and experimenting with ideas involving lino cut block prints and stencils. The results are shown in a 6-page feature which gives you step by step instructions of how to create the designs yourself. There are five card ideas and a range of options for wrapping paper and gift tags. So as they say in the feature – "rather than buying bundles of cards and wrapping paper, why not create your own countryside-inspired festive designs and send your family and friends hand-crafted greetings this Christmas?"
The November issue of BBC Countryfile Magazine is out on sale now.
